November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month

Did you know November is Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month? It's recently becoming more recognized due to it's growing list of celebrities diagnosed with the disease such as Pavarotti this past September. Now why am I posting about it? Well, my mother died of this horrible disease at the young age of 59. My grandfather whom I've never met also died from it as well. So, I am now a part of a pancreatic cancer registry for those with a family history of the disease. Every year I send an update stating my health is okay. I hope it continues that way for many years to come, I mean after all I'd love to keep creating for as long as I can stand it :)

Now here's where you come in. Since November is awareness month, I've setup a donation page through First Giving and the funds are sent to PanCan which is a wonderful organization. You can read up on them at pancan.org

My online fundraiser page can be found here:

If you would like to make a donation, it would be so very appreciated. I don't see a dime of it of course, it's all going to this great organization that I'm praying will find an early detection tool (it's in the works) and of course for the hope of a cure.

A lot of people think I'm kind and giving and I'll be honest, I wasn't always that way. Well, I was always giving but in a different way ;) My mothers passing made a HUGE impact on my life. I no longer prepare for the future in the way I used to. I try to appreciate the here and now, live and love the best way I can and hope for the best. That's pretty much it in a nutshell. So if you feel so inclined to make a donation, that's awesome and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Love,
Gina
xoxo
