To our friends in California

We have many friends (a.k.a. customers) in California and just wanted to say our thoughts and prayers are with you!

While it may be considered uncouth for a business to share it's personal opinions, beliefs and emotions, we're not one of them. We build relationships with our customers and do care about what goes on in our world and how it affects us. So we proudly share how we feel. Ah, the beauty of small business!

That said, I'm certain the entire ATOWD community is sending their good thoughts and well wishes to our friends out in California.

gina.... girl we are so close to the fires here in san diego. as a matter of fact, dave, my hubby is a california highway patrol officer working 12 hr shifts without days off & is in the direct chaos. he is safe & we are praying that this gets contained swiftly. although damage has occurred, the county has been well prepared since our horrible fires 4 years ago. those flames were out of our homes across the freeway & at that time, i was a 911 dispatcher answering calls pleading for assistance to help save their lives. to sum this up, thanks for posting.

Rachel-May God Bless you and keep yourself and your husband out of harms way. It is hard enough being the wife of an officer and when they are called to "serve and protect" and you know their lives are in even more danger....we clinch. Know that God will be with him and that he will be protected.

Wife of a GA motorcycle police officer.

thanks elizabeth & gina. it is going to be a rough & unpredictable week ahead & into next week. it is comforting to see the governor & the president here taking actions as quick as they have. i am quite impressed. without quick responses from everyone, this couldve been worse than it is. right now i am so exhausted, i ahvent made dinner at all this week ! ugh.... hanging in there.... rachel

Rachel, i am married to a Mississippi Highway Patrol officer and although fires are not a problem here, we did go through Hurricane Katrina. I understand the long hours of worry you go through! Please know your family and everyone affected by these fires are in our thoughts and prayers.
