Well today is my grandmother's 99th Birthday! WOW! Her name is Ann, she lives on her own (with help from aides that visit her daily) and you'd never guess how old she is - she looks a lot younger and has a great spunk about her. That picture is from 2 years ago, I swear she hardly has any wrinkles and she has to have a full face of makeup on and be dressed before anyone comes over LOL. It's unfortunate that she outlived her children but she's the toughest woman I have ever known. A couple of years ago I gave her a journal and told her to fill it with stories from when she grew up, from when I was a baby, etc and I know she has it pretty much filled (I've never read it yet but I've heard some of the stories). She's a real funny lady and just wanted to share with you guys.

Wow! How fortunate for her (and you too) to have lived such a long healthy life. She looks incredible! I work at a nursing home but we don't have any residents that appear as spry as her.

Thanks so much everyone!! She had a great birthday (she's in NY still and I'm down here in NC now) but she said her aides had a big party for her. Awww. We'll be seeing her in a couple of weeks ;)
